Message from the Parents’ Association
The Parents’ Association of P.S. 254 extends a warm welcome to all new and returning parents for the upcoming 2020-21 school year. The Parents’ Association of P.S. 254 is here to help you and your child feel as comfortable as possible. Your child will be a happier, more productive student if you are an informed and active partner in their education. Therefore, we are asking and encouraging all parents to get involved. You as a parent and/or guardian are automatically a member but we need you to get involved.
The Parents’ Association is the voice of all parents at P.S. 254. General meetings are held once a month (see schedule below) via zoom online. At our meetings, parents have the opportunity to discuss issues concerning them. We will bring these concerns to the attention of the school administration and work with them to make P.S. 254 a better place for your children. In addition to your individual concerns, we will keep you informed about any issues and events involving the school and its community.
The Parents’ Association room is located in Room 226 and the P.A. mailbox is located in the Main Office Room 211 on the second floor. You can reach us by sending a note with your child addressed to the Parents’ Association. You may also call the Parents’ Association at (718) 743-7664 or email us at ps254pa@gmail.com and someone will get back to you.
We are proud of the Dag Hammarskjold School and our Parents’ Association. We hope to see you all at our monthly meetings. Remember, the Parents’ Association is only as strong as their membership so please come out, show your support and be the voice for the children.
Thank you and we look forward to working with you to make your children’s experience in our school successful and memorable.
